Drystone Memorial seat, Royal Oak Pub, Dorset

This drystone memorial seat was done in memory of David Glassock (Zonk). A local resident of Herston, Dorset. He was also a drystone waller and expert stone Mason.

He also has advised Purbeck Council conservation department for drystone walls in the area and was a local stone historian holding an enviable knowledge surrounding the traditions of quarrying in and around Purbeck. So it was an honour to build this drystone wall in his memory.
